Freestyle
Before getting hooked on slalom racing and speed sailing, I spent quite a few years mucking about doing tricks in light, medium and strong winds. Starting off with the old school moves (monkey gybes, upwind 360s, carving 360s, etc), I eventually managed to get to grips with likes of the Gecko, Vulcan and Spock. My forward loops were pretty dreadful back then and I never did quite get the Grubby, Flaka or Spock 540. I finally nailed my forwards in Jericoacoara in December 2012... after years of procrastination they actually turned out to be really easy!
